I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I installed a 29 wire beta Enigmah in my brother's xbox back in the day when the mod chips first started to come out. Now I got the matrix, so I desoldered all 29 wires and installed the matrix. The only problem is, I always get the beeps and 3 reboot problem, and with out the matrix installed I get the "your xbox needs to be serviced" error, but no error number in the top left? I made sure all the solder points were clear and clean. I know the bios on the matrix is good because It works on my own xbox.. Is my brother's xbox still salvageable? Thanks for your time.

BTW, I had evo x installed on that xbox and forgot to rename the original ms dash back to xboxdash.xbe, would that make a difference? or is this an TSOP/Bios issue? Thanks.

if the BIOS that the matrix has is not an x-ecuter bios, it wont boot evoxdash.xbe. you need an xboxdash.xbe. Boot up with a version of evox burned to a cdrw or dvd, and ftp tp the HD, and rename the dah file. or put all the required BIOS flash files on the disc with evox, and flash the chip with the latest x-ecuter bios.

Thanks for the reply. The thing is, I do have an xboxdash.xbe, the problem is that the xbox won't boot up at all, I get the flubber animation and after the xbox logo it say's the xbox needs service, but there is no error number on the top left. When I install the matrix, I get 3 reboots with beeps and it has a blank screen and green/red flashing light. Thanks.
