what's up guys? can anybody help me with my problem regarding the error when i burn a cd. i try nero & easy cd creator but still i get the error "Power Calibration Error". Can anybody explain me why i got this message or error during burning? and is there any solution regarding this matter?

How old is your drive? It is getting to be a couple of years old, and you burn alot of CD's, then it sounds like that it is ready to be retired and replaced.

The only option that I can think of other then replacing it is to see if there is an option in the burning program somewhere that states "perform laser calibration". If there is one, UNcheck it, normally the drive will do this automaticly before it starts recording.

But, I am almost sure that my first statement is the more correct one.... it is time to lay it to rest...

Changing media may help.
