My current computer uses Usb 1.0 or 1.1, something like that. I'm getting a new computer soon that has Usb 2.0. Can I use the same Usb cable, or does 2.0 require a different one? Thanks.

Ageamiu Jun 28, 2003, 11:45 PM Much faster, approximately 7 times better. Insomniac Jun 29, 2003, 12:51 AM Yes you can. Usb 1 is rated at 12mbps while Usb 2 is rated at 480mbps. Richskie Jun 29, 2003, 06:18 AM USB 2.0 is backwards compatable with USB 1.1 i.e. if your hardware worked with 1.1 it will work with 2.0 fawlty Jun 29, 2003, 07:01 PM Use the same cable. If your devices are USB2 then they will operate at the faster speed. |
