i'm trying to remove FlashFXP. i'm having trouble with it and i want to reinstall it and see if that fixes my problem. there is not an option in control panel/ add remove programs. i found it in the registry and deleted the folder, but when i click on the desktop icon it still opens. and its the same because it says 323 days of the 30 trial blah blah.

how would i go about removing this?

also if after reinstalling it my problem continues, what ftp program would you guys recommend?

heres my problem. when trying to transfer games to my xbox thru flash, i keep getting error command 502 passive is not implemented. i turned passive on and off and it does the same thing. the problem started when i changed my motherboard and reinstalled XP. flash was not reinstalled because its on my D: partition.

any help is much appreciated.

EDIT: here is exact message i get:
502 pasv is not implemented.
PORT 192,168,0,155,12,91
425 Can't open data connection to 192.168.0.155:23308

It wasn't in the add/remove because you never added it to you WinXP install.

Find the folder on the d: drive it's in & delete that. You will probably find that the section in the registry has been recreated so delete that as well. You should now find the shortcut no longer works so delete that as well.

B.T.W. do you have a firewall, inc the built in WinXP one? This could explain you problem.

i'm not sure about winxp firewall. i have 4 icons in network connections. local connection 1, local connection 2, local connection 4, and 1394 connection. local connection 1 and 2 are onboard. local connection 4 is my network card. i don't know what 1394 connection is. under properties/ advanced i have the internet connection firewall box unchecked.

i tried all 3 connections and still the same thing. i tired passive on and off same thing. maybe its a setting in my d-link router i need to change. i don't know. i'm stumped.

all try erasing everything and reinstalling and see if that work.
