in the process of building a pc,the motherboard I have picked doesnt mention onboard graphics-do I need to buy a graphics card ?
the pc will be used for burning cds and dvds,dont expect to be playing up to date games on it
any advice appreciated:)

if you're not playng games - then you should find a pretty decent ones for around 30 - 50 quid.

Have a look at Geforce4 MX range. They cost about 45 quid with 128mb ddr memory.

I would also say get something by Nvidia for compatibility and driver support.

If your not playing games a 2mb card will do you you wont even need that, most likely the mother board wont have onboard if its new.

If you want to watch dvd on it though youll need minimum 8mb.
