Does anyone know where to find a good deal on the CP72? I know it's the same player as the infamous RP82 but in the body of a 5 disc changer. It's got the best of both things I'm looking for. Any help would be appreciated as always.

Me again :)
The CP72 had problems in some units w/ the grounding. It's a great player; I own one. It comes in black or silver. The silver one was the most common one and black was a little harder to find. I got mine for $180 after rebates. I love it because it's a 5 disc changer and plays everything! I bought the XP50 for my dad as a father's day gift and it also looks cool and plays great. Unforutantely, I'm told that the CP72 has been discontinued, but you may be able to find it at some places. I bought mine at jandrelectronics.com, but they no longer carry it. You could try ebay or go to www.avsforum.com and look under dvd hardware, people in that forum are dvd player freaks and have a lot more info and ideas where to buy. Most local stores did not carry this for some reason. Good luck
p.s. the forum seems to be down at this time, try again later. Also change your title to "where can I buy a panasonic CP72?" You might get more hits.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling the CP72 was also discontinued since the RP82 was ousted. I'll have to keep looking but I appreciate your advice. Thanks.
