if you had to choose between datawrite red 4x and bulkpaq orange 4x dvd-r which would you use??which is the better media?

personally m8 id say neither ive got the red tops here at the mo and they burn ok but for movies they start jumping etc even after ive watched on my pc before i burned and the copy is near enough perfect,,as for bulkpaq just had 100 cdrs of theres and wot apile of cr*p nothing but hasstles with them,,after that u can see why they are so cheap!
Just my opinion anyways

I'm with MadMatt on this one. Neither of them have the best compatibility/performance record. If you want to avoid the hassle get 4x Riteks and you won't be sorry.

They're both princo crapola dye that's why. :) so are the datawrite yellow 4x and the ice branded 4x..they might work for some people, but cheap discs aint cheap if you have to bin 50% of them. look at all the threads where people are saying their dvdrs aint working, it's always princo dye ones and never ritek discs.

i have always used 1x yellow tops in the past and have never had a problem with them m8. i didn't realise the other 2 were the same dye as the yellows!

same here,

red tops skip ect when burning movies, a pile of poo

datasafe yellows burn fine, no problems,

so if there the samew dye surley the yellows would be like the reds?

As i said mate they work fine for some people. also different plants produce different quality discs that's why the quality is great 1 minute and pants the next. some plants were converted from producing cdr to dvdr and some plants were built from new just for the production of dvdrs. so the 1x yellows could have come from the new plant. i also read that some princo discs are made at an extra low spec for third world countries and sold dirt cheap there. then some uk online retailers/sunday market traders brought a shipment of them up dirt cheap and sold them back here in the uk for a huge profit without mentioning that they are pure shite of course.
