I,ve got a laptop with a dvd rom which I was hoping to play films on
Unfortunately it WONT
It will start to play it then just hangs up
It plays vcd svcd mp3 - anything apart from dvd
Iwas wondering if the system spec was enough

ITs a toshiba satellite 1800 - 400
witha 800mhz celeron processor
128 meg RAM
8x dvd rom
15 gig hard disc
64 bit graphics controller

DVDRom's don't play DVD's they read them. It is the DVD player software that actually plays it.

I appreciate that - Im using windvd

Still no joy

Maybe your settings are to high, try 16 bit color mode.
