Does anyone know if the Latest formware hack allow you to write dvd-rw 1x at 2x as well or is this a dvd-r only thing

Funny you should say that, I burned a film to a 1X DVD-RW the other day and it would only burn this at 1X so it looks like no.

I just assumed that it would burn at 2X the same as a DVD-R. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/b0/shot.gif

Thats what one of the guys at wcwmedia said as well- but i thought i he was just saying that to make me buy the 2x dvd-r £9 vs £15 for 10

Yeah ... I can confirm this too.
Been playing with my brother's 105 (1.33) this week and 1 x DVDRW's only burn at 1 X, but the 2 X beuties work ok at 2 X.
