Can anyone help me pls. I have a pioneer A03 which can write at 2x.
I have purchased some Nanya dvd disks 1-2x yet every time i try to burn at 2x using nero or dvd decrypter i get a calibration error.
Does anyone know what firm wear i should use. I have tried version 2.00 and 1.68. Anyone know what going on.

Cheers people

I might be mistaken but I believe those discs will only burn at 2x on certain drives with the right firmware. Chances are you would need a 105/A05 drive with the hacked firmware to get those discs to actually write at 2x.

This is what SVP say about Nanya :

"We want to make it completely clear that this disc will only write at 1x under some hardware"

and guess what some hardware is ? ..... yep you guessed it ..... the 103 ;) and the 104 for that matter.
