hi all,just got my first dvd writer external(firewire) sony dru 500a,write up about this drive says its 4x for dvd-r but when using with nero 5.5.10 it says its only capable of writing at 2x,im using ritec media so dont think thats the prob,operating system is xp home,,,,anybody know what the prob could b?? aspi layers installed ok but haven installed anything else for this drive,,,is the speed write reduction because its external????do i need any drivers installed for this drive as none came with it(oem)??its using firmware 2.0f,,any help would be gratly appreciated,thanx apollo100
