Hi, I'm having problems with my computer. It's windows xp and a 2000mhz computer.
Whenever I log on the speakers distort while doing the log on sound. I move my mouse around and it keeps stopping, then moving then stopping for a mili second again and then moving. I hate it. I checked for viruses but there are none.
I've also realised that the computer takes longer to get into certain programs and if there are too many programs open, my computer speakers distort a little with music and the computer slows down too.
It never used to do any of this.
It has been doing it for about a week and a half now.
Before that I downloaded Quicktime, Adobe Premiere and I was editing digital movie clips and that's when it first began, now I have no clue and am totaly baffled to why it's happening.
Please help anyone. I dont wanna take my computer in cause I dont have the money to get it checked out, but if it's the hard drive I got still 2 years warranty.
Help! thanx anyone with help

You could try defragging the hard drive and also check if DMA is enabled, i'm not 100% sure how to do it in Win2000 but if you go to device manager in system properties then IDE/ATAPI controllers and check if DMA is enabled.

Defrag: Start > Programs > Accesories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter.
