You might have the hide file extensions on. To turn it off open up windows explorer (not internet explorer). Click tools, folder options, view & deselect the 'hide extensions for known file types' box.

Nah, if you had the file extention hidden then it would have been test.zip.swf and not test.swf.zip.

Ive never downloaded music but shouldnt you be able to just change the extention back to .mp3, I think they give them those extentions cause the cant call them mp3

If youve downloaded a file with a double barrel extention its a virus or trojan.

SWF is a shockwave movie file , you can embed a song into the movie itself , but you will need something like a SWF Decompiler to break it up in order to get the wave file out .

Nah, I think what ThE SnAkE was saying is that someone took a regular mp3, put it in a zip file and then simply renamed it from .zip file to .swf.

So no need to worry about actual flash files or double extensions.

Ah i see. If thats the case just renaming it back to .zip should work, still it seems strange why someone would have done it. BTW there are swf viruses.

They rename them as many hosts don't allow mp3 files to be stored on the server. In other words, so they don't get caught. ;)
