I just added a new HD in my pc and the second HD showed up at the BIO setting and device manager but not at My Computer. I can't save or stored anything in the new HD.

Question..> How do I make it show up in My Computer like the other one.

You need to partition it first and then format the drive before you can use it.

I connected: IDE 1: old hd 20gb primary master and DVD-Drive
primary slave. IDE 2: new hd 120gb secondary master and CD-R secondary
slave. How do you partition a new hard drive?

get to the dos prompt and type fdisk then in fdisk select your new hd to be partitioned, when it is done reboot and enter dos again, select your new hd letter prob d: then type format d: (making sure first that d: is your new hd) and make your self a cup of tea or maybe even 2 as you will be there a while, while it formats. if you cant get to a dos prompt use a win98 bootdisk.

I partitioned the new hd and it works great.

the drive shouldda came with a cd to help u out with partitioning, read the manual man, most of the time it's cover in the manual, glad it worked out for u :)
