Any help with what I'am trying to do would be great.

Have a desktop upstairs that runs cable BB via a usb surfboard modem going into a netgear pci card.
Would like to run BB also my laptop downstairs, have 10/100 pcmcia card in my laptop.

Looked on ebay and have seen network cards and cable very cheap,is this what I need to split my BB conection.

What card and cable should I be looking at for my setup?

Tried wireless but because my laptop has quite old specs 200mhz mmx and only 32mb ram it didnt go to well.

Would the low specs of my laptop have any bearing in sharing my BB connection?

Thanks in advance

Suggest you have a look through the CSec forum first, or do a search on it, also have a look at www.practicallynetworked.com - This type of question has been answered and many opinions given with regards to it...so have a look there and then post back if you have any further questions. Your post will probably be moved there anyway.
