I have followed the tutorial and still cannot connect to the xbox, the ip address for my computer 192.168.0.1 the default gateway is correct.
I am connectint through a cable to my netgear wireless mr814 router but have the xbox through a cable connection. I have assigned the xbox 192.168.0.6 as the 2-5 have been taken by my other computers. When I try to log into the xbox it cannot through flashfxp.
any suggestions.
Is there a way to turn the firewall off in the router??? I believe it has one built in, could this be the culprit??

also I am trying to connect currently under winme, I also have win2000 (dual boot) I have not tried with 2000 yet will it make a difference?? If I get it setup under winme will I have to redo it again under 2000.

the router firewall shouldn't be a problem that is a firewall thats sits between the hub and the net so shouldn't cause problems- have you disabled windows firewall- not sure if it is there in win me but it caused me a lot of problems in xp:

also are you sure your not connecting your xbox to your router with a crossover cable? you only do that when connecting directly to the pc- if you connect via a hub or router both connections must be standard "non crossover" cables
