When using usenet, certain games like Outlaw Volleyball come with patches for the game. This game, and a few others simply have the default.xbe file as the patch file. I was always used to seeing a .ppf file and then using another program to patch the iso. If i see a default.xbe file as the patch file, does that mean, i have to extract the files from the iso, replace the default.xbe file with the patched one the person that posted the game included, and then rebuild the iso. Or, is the default.xbe file just for people that want to run the game from their harddrive. I will be burning these games.
Thanks

Its probably already patched. You can extract the iso and replace default.xbe file and rebuild it if you want to. Its hard to say, I always patch it myself first to be sure.

If I'm not mistaken the XBE patch files are for if you want to patch the game running off the Xbox HD... i.e you simply FTP the XBE over to the XB HD if you have it running from there.
Thats my limited understanding anyway... I dont actually run them from the HD myself so I might be wrong :-)
