Hi

I hav a version 4 ps2 chipped with a messiah 2 and hav been recently supplied with the 4x speed datawrite yellow top. The games are formula 1 2003 Tomb raider angel of darkness world snooker championship 2003 and def jam vendetta. I was wondering if there cud be something wrong with my chip however it plays everything else I have. Is there anyway I could burn the discs image 2 desktop and then burn it of again 2 a lower speed of disc???

if you have problems with a specific kind of dvdr media then its not the chip thats causing the problems, version 4 ps2`s are known for their crappy laser. i have a v4 and you just need to buy more expensive media for it.

try different media plus burn at a slower speed, i use ritek 4x which work great for movies at 4x but ps2 games need to be burnt at 2x

I have a Version 4 PS2 and a Messiah installed, always use 4x Ritek media and always burn at 4x, no problems yet and have even burned some princo media at 4x and they also play fine.
