Right now I have the no solder mod chip in my ps2. Im going to be replacing or adding something to it so i can play 80 min cd-r's. I saw that the neo key uses 1 wire to connect 2 points on the motherboard. I was wondering if my no solder mod chip would play 80 min cd-r's with that wire connecting the 2 points without the neo key. One more thing, the neo key cant boot dvd-r's but the no solder chip can-if i have both installed at once will i be able to boot dvd-r's? Thanks.

You need to have both the wire installed, and the NeoKey USB mod plugged in to play 80min CD-R rips.

The NeoKey can't boot DVD-Rs, but using both the no solder mod and Neo Key will let you boot anything.

Keep in mind that the NeoKey only works with older PS2 revs, though. I think it's compatible with v1-v6, but not sure about that.
