Alright here goes.
I have cleaned the cd drive with a lens cleaner.
I recently upgraded my comp from win 98 to Win 2k Professional. I have had problems with my burner since then. I don't know if that is releated or not. When I burn a cd I can not use faster settings ie (48x) I can only use 4x or it wont burn and the burn will be choppy when I play it back. I am at wits end with this burner and I am ready to pitch it in the box in the corner. The CD Drive reads everything fine it is the burning I am having problems with. I use Nero 5.5. All diagnostics check out fine. any advice? The Drive was bought at xmas time. Please and info would be appreciated.
