dvd movie disc are showing as unknown with the xbox using xceuter 2.1 and exox dash.

the discs have been done with nero 5.5.10.42 using a pioneer 106 from files which have been loaded to the hdd first.

using disc to disc copy it picks up as movie disc.

any ideas whats wrong ?

Did you Decrypt them first? Nero doesn't have decryption capabilities which is necessary to remove the copy protection that is built in to all DVDs.

they are from already copied disc.

i ran them to the hdd to save i bit of time. i can copy disc to disc but if do it from hdd the disc is unknown in xbox.

it runs fine using any dvd display prog on the pc............

Okay then it might be the media. What discs are you using?

datawrite 4x red tops, dvds wrote at 4x , dvd drive in xbox is a samsung.

The red tops have a pretty bad reputation so that could be your problem. They are more expensive but the Riteks would be the ones to go for. Highly compatible with all drives/players.

Try using the official microsoft remote as sometimes I have movies which won't play with dvdx2 but play fine when using the original microsoft player.

wanted to use redtops as i can get them for 75p. Riteks cost about 1.30 for 4x , unless u know a cheaper source.
