Ok Ive lost my xbox dash yet again.
Back when I put in my new hdd i used slayers to format and stuff. This put my MS Dash back to the one that came with V 1.0 xboxes. It also added a menu item that said Launch MS dash/for clock and date settings.
However, last week i went to rip a cd to the hd for use with DOAXVB and it goes to the loading screen, then right back to the dash. Also the item menu has changed from the above mentioned one to M$ Dash
Anyone have a quick fix for this??

I didnt know you fixed it the first time...lol. Let me think....Did you install evox to the hard drive because you cant load a game to the hd with the original ms dash.

Yeah ive had evox running off the HD for a long time now.
I changed no settings no made any modicfications to the .ini file so I have no idea why the ms dash would dissapear like this?

I dont have a switch on the chip. Everything was working fine till one day i went to rip a cd and the dash was gone. Anyone have any idea how to fix it.. all of the files are still there in the c drive, I just cant figure out how to point evox in the right direction.
Thanks

Can you ftp the original evo x files back to the hdd. That game of yours might have over written some files.

All the files are still there and everything functions fine... maybe something happened when I tried to the the music to the NS dash... just wanted to put some music in my doavbx....
Anyway.. which xbe do i need cause I have the extra crap that slayers throws in there.

Quick question, do you have a backup in the drive, because I know if I do and I try to go to the MS dash from the Evox it goes to the loading screen, then right back to the Evox dash.
I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are experiencing or not, its a little hard to tell from your post.
