birdy1112001 Jul 22, 2003, 01:16 AM i check "test and write" before i start writing a cd and i have burned ALOT of mp3's, this way you know that it will burn properly. Hope this helps you
0703one Jul 22, 2003, 03:19 PM Thanks for the advice birdy.
Alas i have just tried that and it tests 100% but crashes when trying to write and freezes the cdrw drive. I have to turn off the pc and open the drive when it starts m8???
Pressing Restart and the cdrw drive is still 'frozen' when the pc restarts.???
m0dd Jul 22, 2003, 09:26 PM try use nero or easy cd creator 6,
also lower you're write speed, also when you're burning your cd try not to perform any other task
hope that helps
0703one Jul 23, 2003, 12:56 PM @m0dd Thanks for the reply m8
Tried installing Nero but it cannot detect my cdrw drive?
Haven't got easy cd creator.
MasterMind Jul 23, 2003, 02:44 PM Instead of writing to CDRW directly.... try to burn to "NTIDisk Image Writer". This will make an image file on your hard disk.
If the process is successful then you can use 'CD Copy' and select "NTIDisk Image Writer" as source disk/ drive.
m0dd Jul 23, 2003, 08:18 PM hmm yes you could also just go burn image file.

o wel wat i suggest is you ensure that all cables are connect properly from the motherboard to the cdrw and vice versa. also ensure that the latest firmware drivers are installed and also use the latest nero, then go device manager and check if your cdrw is working properly or when ur comp boots up and performes a memory check see if your cdrw is installed.
if all is fine try nero again. if nero still cant detect your cdrw use the other burning software you own and try burn the cd at a slower speed and leave the computer alone until burning is completed.
hope that helps.
ukzero1 Aug 02, 2003, 10:26 PM but he states he wants to play them in mp3 player..wouldn't it be better to create mp3 cd rather than data disk ?
celtic_druid Aug 03, 2003, 03:58 AM An mp3 disc is a data disc, it is just one that happens to contain only mp3's.
m0dd Aug 03, 2003, 01:12 PM indeed celtic_druid
