Hello all, i finally got an action replay, but i can't get the damn thing to work. i get the AR memory card to show up, but it has all of these folders with "unnamed title" and it says that there is no room on the card, but i haven't put any codes on it yet.... then i put it in my xbox controller and erased it, then put it back in the docking station, and it was empty, but when i try to move a file to it i get an "error writing the save" message. what the hell is going on?

i forget, is the AR HID compliant? might wanna try it on 98se or even xp.

ok, looked up "hid compliant" so i know what that is, but the instructions say that the ar is supposed to work with 98 or higher.... any way i can fix this other then partitioning my drive and reinstalling 98? don't have xp or se.

you'd be no go with just 98 anyways as usb support didn't come out till 98se. you got me dude, maybe exchange it?

you see, my iomega zip 100(usb) worked with 98, but it doesn't with 2000 pro
so i figure that it's the same problem with the AR. it'll take too long to get a mega x key online if i turn in the AR.... just wish i could fix the i/o problem i'm haveing writing to the card.

you could just skip all that and get game saves from xbox-saves.com and ftp 'em to the e: drive.

I'm gonna return it, the datel customer service said that if it won't copy a save, then it's defective.... go figure.

pissed off to the highest points of pistivity is more like it.(lol) I'm pretty well versed on the exploit, that when i finally am able to get the file to my memorycard, i'll know how to assign apps and the lot. one more day won't kill me, but if the next one i get doesn't work, then I might snap.

got my usb zip 100 working, so 2000 pro wasn't the prob, and the AR is hid compliant, because it was recognized during setup.(found that out after partitioning my drive 2x's and installing 2 different versions of windows:( )

eck :( sorry 'bout your luck man, but you're getting a new one right? well guys, it seems that it wasn't the AR.... seems i'm having some usb conflicts,because i can copy files to it from the xbox, but not from the comp... gonna try cleaning the usb ports and removing any static electricity... if that doesn't work, then i'm outta work. my wife ran back to the store today so i didn't have to wait. she also checked out the forum at AR(datel), and said almost every post there was about this damn thing not workin... if my next attempt fails, then i just got a 40.00 useless accessory.

maybe datel just needs better drivers.

You could always just trade it in for a memory card and mail it to "somebody" I'm absolutely positive that they would load up the save file for you.

seems to be my only option other then getting a mod. Thanks for the Advice Slomar.
