what are the signs?
See I updated the firmware to make it rip movies faster. But I think it wore it out. Got a lot faster (9.0x) but it started to get louder, as it prolly should with the speed increase. But now when I try to use DVD Decrytor it gets these "Check Condition" errors, when the disc is perfect. My DVR-105 can rip it perfectly, but i hate making my DVD Writer do that.
So guess I need a new drive? cuzz I cleaned the laser with no improvements. And I can watch the movies on the Toshiba fine, just when I try and rip em, no go. Also I can rip retail movies, not DVD-R tho. Can watch DVD-R's tho
So if I need a new drive, any recommendations (cheap 16x). Prolly the Pioneer DVD-120
