That would be because SVCD is not technically DVD compliant and movie factory wants to re-encode it. Surely you can lower the bitrate though?

Can't you use a program like DVD Shrink V2.3 to fix this problem ystalyfera?

Why re-encode and then transcode when you could just lower the bitrate?

Used Shrink and it reduced size of movie, thanks for help guys, can see where Druid,s coming from tho,is there anything on Movie Factory that allows you to lower bitrate,i,m already on the lowest setting "good".

Never used it myself, but if it only has settings like good, average, excellent, etc. then I won't ever be. I would suggest using a better program with more advanced settings.

I would suggest converting externally with CCE(video)/BeSweet(audio) and then importing into your authoring app as fully DVD compliant MPEG2/AC3.

ulead movie factory will let you create an iso. i would try that and then load the iso into a virtual drive and use a compression software (ic7) from there
