hi guys

little problem here not sure if its a software problem or media used..........

nero reads disc ok then burns disc ........gets to writing the lead out stage and just keeps going......any ideas.........

recently changed media from redtop at the same time as updating to nero 6

had no problem at all using redtops and nero5 so before i go back to nero5 and having a go burning the discs(yellow).... thought i would see if any one had the same probs........

i now if its not broken dont fix it but with all the views about redtops lately didn't want to get a bad batch and i thought nero6 would at least perform the basics....

I know the dye on the back is dark purple but has anyone verified for a fact that these new Yellows are in fact Ritek dye. Datawrite/Datasafe/Bulqpaq are all over the place with quality control and I will no longer recommend any of thier discs to UK users no matter what dye they carry. Yellows up until recently carried a Princo dye and seemed to be doing quite well with most people. Now they are hit or miss. Have you tried using Recordnow Max instead of Nero?

Are these the Datawrite overprints ? If so, I've heard of a few people having problems with these.

Try a decent Ritek disk like a Traxdata, they're not much more expensive and they work 100%.

SVP are doing a 2 X Traxdata, ina case for 99p at the moment ..... you could buy 1 or 2 as a sample, to test.

I have burned over 50 of the Overprinted Datawrite Yellow Top Ritek media and have yet to have any problems so nothing wrong with using them.
