View Full Version : app to run cd-rom with no pshysical cd??

i have a cd-rom that needs to be insterted in my cd-rom to run......but, i want to run it without having it inside, i tryied to copy all files to a folder and try to run from there but didnpt worked......is there a kind of emulator or something to make like an image of my cd and be able to run from the image????......thanks.....

yeah, alcahol can generates as many virtual drives as u want, after u created virtual drives, rip the CD into any image files and load it in. i do it all da time. getting tire of sticking the dam game in there, and if the disc scratches it really sux, that way your game is always smooth as hell.

daemon tools is pretty good also , do a search you'll find it ;)

CloneCD also has a virtual CD-ROMS

From what I remeber it only supports the CCD format though. Plus it is blacklisted by lots of games and caused problems on a fair few systems.

Yep, clone and to a lesser extent Nero virtual drives can cause problems. Try something like Virtual Drive, Game Drive or Game Drive Pro from HERE (http://www.farstone.com/home/en/index.shtml).

Nero VD should be ok as it was written by VeNoM386.
