whizzersmith Jul 31, 2003, 09:49 AM no jumper on board , only store and clear and bios wont let me change it to ata 133 greyed out, read on ebuyer that processor setup is set to auto but you need to manually adjust settings, Over my head (HELP) :(
Insomniac Jul 31, 2003, 10:20 AM Have you installed the latest motherboard drivers and the latest bios update?
whizzersmith Jul 31, 2003, 10:40 AM installed the ones that come with motherboard, these should be fine,
this is from ebuyer review
'you will need to manually set this in the bios for your cpu type
eg cpu amd 1600 xp 266 fsb set to 133mhz in bios
as it is doubled ( dual channel )while you are there , disabling the pci delay transacton speeds
up the board , as does setting sdram 1t command to fast , not had any problems doing this .
dont know how to do this !
Insomniac Jul 31, 2003, 11:49 AM The ones with the motherboard may not be fine. Go to the manufactuirers site and see if indeed they are the latest and the bios is current. Also check chipset drivers. In the chipset features in the bios, you should be able to set the fsb. If you say it is greyed out, just clear and reset your bios and choose setup or power on default.
whizzersmith Jul 31, 2003, 01:05 PM bios and drivers are the lastest, its all to do with setting in bios setup
whizzersmith Jul 31, 2003, 02:11 PM he solved it, he was looking in the wrong part of the settings in bios, thanks for help people
