I am trying to run VNC on a computer on my network. I set it up to run as a system service, but every time i reboot the computer it says no password set, and then when i click ok on that box, it goes to another saying it has insufficient privilages to access vnc settings or something. i can get to the settings and put a new one in, but when i reboot, this whole process repeats. this is both with the latest version of TightVNC and RealVNC.

since this error occurs on both programs, im guessings its a basic VNC error or something

the computer is a windows XP machine, should have all the updates and everything

anyone had this problem before, or a solution?

hi there.. you log on your xp machine as?? coz if are logged as user or some cont that, doesn't have rights to change options for VNC, you can't.

HTH.. works great for me..

and another thing you should try another program from here
www.dameware.com
