im looking to buy a graphics card and wondering if anybody could give their opinion on these 2 cards -

Hercules 3D Prophet 9200 128MB DVI-I/TV-OUT - Retail (GX-021-HE)
and
Creative 3D Blaster 5 GeForce FX 5200 Ultra 128MB - Retail (GX-001-CT)

Are these both good cards, and which would you recommend???

i would have to go for the 5200 it beats the 9200, but its no match for the 9600 up

personally I would take a G4 ti4200 over either one of those cards. and right now G4 Ti4200 are as cheap as either one of those cards.

I'm with iss on this one, i'd take a Geforce 4 ti4200 - top card for the price IMO.

ive read a few reviews of the Geforce 4 ti4200 and heard it is a very fast card but suffers lots of overheating problems

I have a 5200 and personally dont like it. It's got all this power but the framerate is so bad when you try to use it, its unplayable, and you need to set it lower. Next I'm gunna buy an ATI model.

well im still undecided so could anyone recommend an alternative good graphics card for around £100

I have never heard of a Ti4200 overheating unless the card has been overclocked.

i have my ti4200 overclocked and runing stable for about two years now, I never had any overheating problems, and I have a small heatsink on it a that.

100 Pounds is equal to about $160 right?

RADEON 9600 Pro 256MB is $136 in the US. Which would be like 84 pounds but i dunno if the UK's got the same deals. Thats the card I think I'm gunna byt anyway
