I here that you can play PSX back-ups with a boot cd without the need of a mod chip. If this is true can someone please tell me how to do that? I have started making backups but have been unsuccessful in playing them on my PSX model SCPH-5501. Also how would I make a boot cd if it is at all possible?

You can oder a disk called ps-xchange this will enable you to play your import or backup games. (this is only for the psone or psx only)
You have place a spring in your door or use the little pvc peice both should come with your CD
Try http://www.consolesource.com or http://www.chipzone.com
Only thing is that you can copy that disk it wont work
I know because I tried 3 different methods
