I have the enigmah x final chip installed in my version 1 xbox. But i want to have is removed so i can install the x-ecuter 2.2 lite plus chip. can i just clip a couple of wires on the enigmah to disable it and then install the x-ecuter or do i have to completely remove it? Or can i just install the x-ecuter without doing anything to my system?

any help would be great.

Did exactly the same thing for a m8 yesterday. I cut all the wires back on the original chip.. couldn't be bothered to remove em properly with a solder iron. The only one I left connected was the alternative D0 point on the back of the board which I used on the new mod chip to save the bother of the pesky D0 on the front of the mobo. I sugest you do the same as, it makes life easier.

the x-ecuter lite plus 2.2 is totally solder free right?
what would be the reason for leaving that solderpoint uncut from the enigmah x?

The chip can be soldered in via a wires/pin-header install OR can be installed via built in pogo-pins (Solderless install).

Personally I would solder it in, WAY WAY WAY less hassle. The pogos can be a pain. If you can't or won't solder, then the pogos will do and there would be no need for the alternate d0 wire.

Unless you are really considering the pogo-pin option, just go for the Xecutor 2.2 instead of the 2.2 + as you will save $. If you were able to put in the Enigma chip then you should have no trouble soldering in the Xecutor 2.2.

so for the solderless install i need to buy the pogo pin adapter on top of the x-ecuter 2.2 lite plus?

the installation says it is the "no-solder" solution. http://www.the-console-corner.com/xecutor2_lite_plus.htm ,why would you need that pogo adapter with this version. i thought that you needed it if you had a version previous to 2.2. Don't understand the difference between lite and lite plus. any help would be great

The Lite doesn't have pogopins. The Lite + has the pogopins built in. You can not buy the pogo adapter for the 2.2 Lite as if you need a solderless solution you buy the Lite +.

(No one actually said anything about buying a pogo adapter)

so now if i wanted to install this 2.2 plus in a machine with an enigmah. all i have to do is cut all the wires on the enignah and just put in the 2.2 plus?

Yes, just be careful not to leave any bare wire flopping about inside the box. You don't want cut wires shorting out your Xbox.
