are the above disk ok for movies
and do they write at x2 on a pioneer 104 with the right firmware

There like any other princo, cheap but should burn, hope you have a good dvd player, cause its going to be hard for it to read. Anything with a light purple dye I would stay away from.

I've found these and the 4X ones an excellent disc and Princo improved the dye by all accounts anyways. I'm on my 5th mixed batch of 1x & 4X and not had a single coaster or disc causing playback problems.

A much wiser choice than any Datawrite/Bulkpaq Princo based discs IMO. I now only use these and Traxdata 4X Ritek discs and based on the results so far I have yet to see any difference result wise between these discs. And of course the Princo is almost 1/2 the price. ;)

I'm pretty sure they won't write at 2x on the 104, even if you do pick up one of the upgraded firmwares. I'm with Mr. Snatcher in that I won't touch Princo dye discs. If you have a DVD Player that is picky at all you will have trouble with these. Honestly it is different for each person so I would highly recommend that you order a trial pack first if you are considering going the Princo route.

I also heard good things about the 4x princo. I would stay away from the 1x princo though. The 1x princo dye is one of the cheapest for DVDR.
