hi all,
I will upgrade my pc soon and i am starting thinking about the various parts of it. mainly about the motherboard and the CPU. So i want to ask your opinion. I am thinking for an AMD,the faster i can aford, and a Gigabite Motherboard.
I still cant deside though if dual processor motherboard is good or not. i will propuble use this as a home network server so i want it as stable and good as posible. I know that there are people that say that dual processing is not good for simple users, so i would like to hear from you.

Also i have a creative 1024 plus soundcard at the moment, do u think is a good one?i like to have a good sound on my pc and i am more than happy with this one. Do u think that cound and graphics card onboard on the motherboard is a good idea? I dont like this generally mainly for upgrade reasons.
Thanks

Well I would start off by recommending the Abit NF7-S ver.2.0 motherboard if you're not going for a dual processor setup. This board is IMO the best nforce-2 board out there. I guess with the rest it depends what type of a budget you're on and whether you will overclock or not.

I don't think an onboard graphics card is a good idea but if you're just using it as a server then maybe it's ok. I think Abit have an Nforce-2 board with onboard graphics and so does epox (Epox 8RGA+). I can't find the Abit one atm.

I think the basis of stable and realiable computers are the motherboard and PSU. HTH
