Is anybody else having problems with Datawrite over prints ? or is it just my writer. Shall I upgrade firmware to 1.33 (pio 105)

When I burn large movies they tend to skip or not play. Anything over 3.5GB

There are MANY complaints about the datawrite overprints. I would recommend steering completely clear of the datawrite/datasafe/bulqpaq labels. There are just too many inconsistancies with the quality of thier media. I would recommend Traxdata, FWS, or Unbranded Ritek. They are a bit more expensive but well worth it since they are compatible with even the pickiest DVD Player(s).

Yep, complete crap here too and all the discs were scratched to death. pay the extra 2p per disc for the traxdatas which are individualy shrink wrapped.

For that small of a price difference it makes me wonder why anybody even bothers with the datawrite overprints. A small price to pay for piece of mind.

Exacly, I only got the overprints because you could no longer get the traxdata purple/gold discs. but now they have the new silver ones with black text out. :)
i buy 50 a time so they last a few weeks and the total extra cost is only £1 aka $1.50 more than the overprints.
