Hey guys, I just wanted to rant about this Western Digital 80 gig External hard drive I just bought at CompUSA. First off they're on sale, regular price is $150-20 instant rebate-30 mail in rebate for a final sale of $99. The drive was a BREEZE to install and the memory and flexibility this thing has is awesome. I love this item, it can go with me to a buddies house or whatever.

Seems like a good deal...Is the case made by WD also and what does it use firewire/usb2.0?

That's a good deal m8. An external USB 2.0 enclosure can easily cost you $35-$40 USD at least. I am gonna check to see if it's still available. Wanna buy my Dad one. Thanks for the info.

yeah it uses USB 2.0 and it's back wards compatible with USB 1.1 and so on. And the case is also made by WD and you can get free cases in other colors but you pay shipping which isnt too bad if you really wanna change the color of your HD case.
