i have just noticed that on dvd decrypter you can unlock the region and make it region free. But i notice that you need a patch to do so, where do you get this patch from cheers!!!

No patch needed as far as I know .... where did you read that ?

As you rip it it should auto de-region it. If not do this after a FILE mode rip.

1) Tools
2) region Patch (free)
3) Browse to VIDEO_TS.ifo and select it
4) Patch it!

If this dont work patch all ifos

and if that doesnt work just use ifo edit.

what does this region thing mean cause i changed mine and it says that i have 4 left and then i cannot change my regions anymore and my pioneer106 won't open is this true?

it basically means that the film was made for specific regions ie. reg 1 = usa, region 2 = europe and so on, when you buy a dvdrom or writer it is set to a region and will allow 5 changes, if you put a diiferent region dvd in then it will change the region itself, after 5 changes it will be locked on the region of the last change.
