HI GUYS

FANCY A CHANGE FROM ATHLON SET UP - QUITE INTERESTED IN GETTING A P4 PC BUILT.

GOING TO USE MOST OF MY EXISTING GOOD COMPONENTS BUT I WILL BE GOING FOR THE FOLLOWING:

P4 CPU
P4 MOBO
NEW MEMORY
NEW CPU HEATSINK/FAN

IM EDGING TOWARDS A P4 2.6GIG 800FSB, AND QUITE POSSIBLY 512MB OF TWINMOS DDR400

SEE http://www.ahead-computers.com/?cf0A009C0D=SUNBUFxTaW1vbl9iOm50bG06082Gpd08Dn3SG8 OqQs8cdg==
NOT BEING A P4 GUY - WHATS A GOOD P4 CPU HEATSINK/FAN?

NO IDEA ON WHAT MOBO TO GO FOR THOUGH! OBVIOUSLY THE BIG NAMES SPRING TO MIND BUT AS FOR WHAT MODEL IM NOT SURE - I NEED THE USUAL STUFF - NO ONBOARD GRAPHICS THOUGH, NEED FIREWIRE FOR DEFINATE..

WHATS CURRENTLY A GOOD P4 FAN?

CAN I HAVE YOUR THOUGHTS AND SUGGESTIONS?

BASICALLY I WANT A STABLE SYSTEM WITH MEM, CPU, MOBO ALL GETTING ON HAPPILY - POSSIBLE POTENTIAL TO OVERCLOCK MAY BE INTERESTING AT A LATER STAGE...

HOPE TO SEE YOUR REPLIES SOON!

What are you looking to spend? Abit IC7 is probably a good choose, but is pricey or the Abit IS7-E. They both have dual channel memory pc3200 memory. Support 800fsb, ata 150. Since your an AMD guy, maybe you should wait a month. AMD Athlon 64 will be out and that might drop the price of the AMD opteron, which I would like to get.

Yes it does 2 in the front, 1 in back its around $119 us dollars,I heard at least from a reveiw I read that they will be a tad cheaper then the p4, I believe thats because the speed isnt as high.
