Hope this question is ok!!!

Trying to make my Ronin DVD P80H region free. The instructions given at Silicon and on the website explain how to get to the section relating to the region number. When I do it, it does not indicate regions by number it actually names countries i.e. GBR USA China etc etc.
Can anyone advise me how to make this beauty region free as I am tearing my hair out here!! The numbered instructions via the remote do not open any menu as suggested:confused: :confused:

Well, I know nothing about that player, but those countries may have to do with the region actually. For instance, USA would be R1, GB would be R2, etc. Although if that is supposed to be how it displays the region codes, that is a dumb way for them to do it.

thanks m8, the numbers when entered do nothing at all!! I have to manually go to the preferences page and when I do, there are no region numbers just country names and nowhere to set it to multi region ?????????
Do I have to have the machine with the tray open or anything?? Any help greatly appreciated

Is this the instructions you have been using?

Region hack:

1 Press setup
2 Enter 13798888
3 Select Version and press enter
4 On regional code, press right > button
5 Use down to change regional code to 0
6 press enter to save

I too have the Ronin P80H 2003 version 2.2 Karaoke model.

None of the handset/key press hacks work for me - i have tried loads!!

How do i update the firmare - what should be in the .bin file? And where can i get it for free?
