ok since i am a newbie at doing this i dont really know what to do, basically i use my 700 mb avi file and use ulead dvd movie factory to write it to a VIDEO_TS folder, then i use DVD Shrink to make the files smaller and use Nero to burn the files, every thing comes out fine yea but half way through the sound cuts off totally leaving me with just video.. anybody know why this happens or recommend another way to do it???

i didnt use ulead throughout because when the avi file was converted it seemed to take too much space on the dvd.

Demutliplex the .avi... convert it into say a .mpv and .wav file. then use tmpgenc to multiplex the 2 into mpeg2 format and burn using ulead dvd movie factory.

convert it to dvd mpeg with tempenc,then drop the mpg file into moviefactory, write to a video ts folder and burn with nero or rec now max

converting it with tempenc it says the estimated file output is over 7 gbs so how can i put that on dvd???

Use a lower bitrate.

i have tried and its still very high, also i have this problem that when i burn a dvd the sound and video is workin perfectly throughout till the last half hour and suddenly the sound just goes any one know why??

is there a dummies guide to burnin avi files any where??

did you use the wizard with tempenc?? its quite helpful
