Don't know what speed they are, I've bought the 25pk Verbs at
Sam's Club and those Verbatims are 1x Ritek.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I know someone will), but I believe the Verbs are 2x. Nice deal btw, saw that in yesterday's Sunday paper. The Imation CD-R BOGO deal is nice also ... comes oujt to $11.87 for 100 CD-Rs.

Are these Ritek dye? If so then they are only 2x on some burners with firmware upgrades.

Can't say for sure. Only ones I can say for sure are the Verbs at Sams are definately 1x with straight firmware. I'd buy some to check, but I just got in a 50pk of 4x Ritek for $75 (free shipping) from allmedia on Saturday.

If they are G03 Riteks then it's an okay deal. You aren't really saving any money by not buying them off the net but you won't have to wait for them to be shipped at least. I have also switched to 4x Riteks and I have yet to find a deal on quality 4x media that compares to them.
