I've played both now and the US version does seem to play a little better and is smoother, no slowdown, but the question I have is why isn't there any BGM in the US version of the backup? It's very strange that this was left out. Any comments?... :confused:

I think the US version also adds 3 new characters, so there may not have been enough room on the CD to keep everything...

The PS2, XBOX , and Gamecube each have an exclusive character. PS2 has Heihachi(tekken), x-box has Spawn, and G-Cube has a little guy in a skirt named LINK. Sad thing is that Heihachi is the only character in the game without a weapon and Link is the best of the exclusives...

The Japanese version had the exclusive players too but if they added 3 more to the US version then I can see why there's no music... although I thought the Jap version had extras too so I still kinda don't get it... I guess it's all in what you like and want to play. :D

Can anyone confirm if Lizardman is unlockable. I played against him in Weapon Master mode but from what I'm hearing around lately, it looks like he's not.

Great game. I like that they up'ed the difficulty for the US version. The import was so easy. They also tweaked the blocking and made it a little easier to throw off thoes button mashers.

I'm not sure about Lizardman but I too enjoyed the fact that the AI has been up'ed... It's just a better game for sure. (on the otherhand I've read articles that say he is unlockable and some articles that say he's not so go figure) :hdspin: :round: :hdspin:

my friend told me that a path to lizardman is opened when you reach level 75. not sure if he's messing with me tho.

Lokks like Kalisto have just sorted out the probs with the US version..

So i'd recommend their US rip, Weapon master mode is a bit more challenging to play, it all in English and you get 3 more characters. Bit of a no brainer now...Cheers Kalisto.

Lizardman is unlocked if you beat everything in weapon master mode. All 10 chapters and all subchapters.

Just finished. Everything is blue (even extra missions) and I'm level 77. Might try to reach higher level. There are still two open slots for characters in the vs. selection screen. I'm guessing one of them is for Inferno (Even though Charade is open), and I just read two other faqs on gamefaqs stating that Lizardman isn't gonna' happen.

Oh well... I'll just keep trying.
