hi i'm just thinking of starting up a karaoke show to do local pubs, i dont need anything groundbraking what i need to know is have any of u guys heard of the skytec range of speakers and amplifiers i got a m8 whos selling a setup consisting of sktec 300 15 inch and a skytec 500 amp it's still got a 10 month warrenty hes asking £350-400 it comes with all the leads cables stands etc what i need to know is it anygood has anybody had any dealing with skytec, is there anything i need to know like i said above i dont need anything thats groundshaking just big enough to do small venues in local area
A complete PA package comprising of 2 x Skytec 300 15" Speakers and 1 x Skytec500 Amplifier + Free cables. Power OutPut Total: 500 Watts, thats how mate as advertised it any advice or help will be greatly apperciated

I would have a look at this site here, I have personally bought lights from the guy and his prices seem fair, check out Package 1 on this page

its worth having a look ath his range of stuff...no offence to your "mate"...I think he's looking a bit much....just my opinion

I use the speakers that you mention and they have served me well for 2 years (small venues).
Can't comment on amp and cables.
The price? I paid £75 for speakers and Victor Morris in Glasgow still has these at that price so overall this could maybe be a wee bit expensive.
What about a new Beringer 500 amp and mixer from same source at £260?
