What the heck do you mean by "response rate"? Do you mean refresh rate? Dave2986 Sep 07, 2003, 05:39 AM no i know the refresh rate i want to know the response rate in ms Insomniac Sep 07, 2003, 07:26 AM If you knew QWERTY, you wouldn't be asking. Response rate is used usually in LCD and Plasma screens and is how fast each pixel takes to respond. The lower this number, the faster the screen is able to render images and moving graphics such as games and DVD's and this helps to prevent ghosting and lag evident in many of these monitor types. The above didn't answer your quest, but at least it helped QWERTY. One out of two isn't too bad. :) I don't know of any programs Dave, but I'm sure they would exist. Most if not all monitors of any type wouldn't send this information back to the computer it is connected to. There could be hardware out there that you connect a monitor up to for the response rate to be measured or perhaps a monitor may have a hidden diagnostic mode that may indicate a response time, if indeed it's measured at all. Basic data can be accessed from a monitor via a host computer but I would have thought that real-time response rate wasn't one of them. These are just my thoughts though - I could be way off the mark here! |
