I previously had a 60GB hard drive in my Xbox and I decided to put in a 120GB and now it gives me error # 13 which is "Unable to load the dashboard." I went in using ftp and check out the files and the dashboard are there and they were. I used Slayer's 2.1 installer. I tried installing Slayer's 2.1 like 15 times and still having the same problem. This hard drive is brand new. I tried a 10gb to see if it works and it did. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

are you trying to boot the xbox with the mod disabled?

if so, you need to make sure the drive is locked. config magic is a nice utiltiy to use to lock a drive.

No, the mod is not disabled. I never disabled it. Also I'm using a 120GB Seagate hard drive. I wonder if this particular brand and size doesn't work with the Xbox.

any hard drive works
how are you ftping in with an error 13? sounds fishy, or your ftp client is fooling you and showing you cached files and folders. error 13 simply means no dash. so the files are not there.

I even tried formatting the partitions through FlashFXP and then transferring the files & folders manually.

I had a similar problem. Insert the Slayers disk, turn the xbox off and then back on, but hold the power button for about 4secs. Mine worked OK after doing that.

Did you Unlock the old hard drive b4 you put the new one in.
and when you put the new one in you have to lock it back again.
