ghoward Sep 10, 2003, 05:56 AM Do X-box make wireless controllers? midnitesky Sep 10, 2003, 06:18 AM I'm a subscriber of the OXM and I read that wireless controllers were one of the things that were added to a wish list... now wether or not if it really is in the making, I'm unsure of, but I do know that it's in the thought. You gotta start somewhere right!?! DC Fisherman Sep 10, 2003, 06:35 AM Logitech does have a wireless controller for xbox soulja221 Sep 10, 2003, 10:31 AM there are alot of wireless controllers for the xbox. TheCheekyMonkey Sep 10, 2003, 06:20 PM mate, they are doing them in GAME (in the UK) for either £34.99 or £39.99, they are made by 4Gamers, seen them the other day, gonna try one out, but really could do with them being official as third party stuff usually isnt as sensitive. P.S. my branch is in the Northwest mate ghoward Sep 10, 2003, 08:50 PM okay cool, thanks you guys. ghoward Sep 11, 2003, 04:08 AM How about the price in dollars? Thanks midnitesky Sep 11, 2003, 09:49 AM Go to the logitech web site and you'll find the price there. kevin44 Sep 12, 2003, 12:15 PM I have a logitech $70 and a Madcatz $50. Both work well. MaK10 Sep 12, 2003, 02:56 PM ewww, madcatz is horrible, their controllers are the worst.... microsoft and sony need to jump on nintendos band wagon, and make their own wireless controllers.... the wavebird for gamecube is amazing! ghoward Sep 12, 2003, 06:21 PM Cool so logitech it is, thanks probeater Sep 12, 2003, 09:34 PM I've used a really good wireless pad made by a company called cosmos, it felt very similer to the official controller S. vcdseller-uk Sep 13, 2003, 03:35 AM i bought a wireless controller from game (uk) was £35 and works great, although it aint as nice as the game cube wireless controller i have, as the sensor that plugs into the xbox is a bit big and ugly on it, but then again, perhaps its made like that to match the bigness and ugliness of the machine :) vasilios Sep 13, 2003, 12:59 PM http://www.gdxbox.com/hardware/revs/hwrevdisplay.asp?hwrevid=5&hwid=7 i got this one a few weeks ago, and it's worked very well for me. same setup as the S controller basically. acc1 Sep 13, 2003, 11:10 PM i have the eclipse wireless also. great controller. same layout as the s controller. only one gripe, they moved the start & back buttons to the middle of the gamepad. no big deal. the also added the extra black & white buttons to the shoulders of the controller. if the logitech weren't twice as much i would have gotten it though. midnitesky Sep 13, 2003, 11:31 PM Originally posted by acc1 i have the eclipse wireless also. great controller. same layout as the s controller. only one gripe, they moved the start & back buttons to the middle of the gamepad. no big deal. the also added the extra black & white buttons to the shoulders of the controller. if the logitech weren't twice as much i would have gotten it though. Well it sound like they designed it pretty much like the original controllers... is it the same size as well? acc1 Sep 15, 2003, 09:06 AM it seems to be the same size & same shape. that's why i chose it over other wireless pads (it was my 2nd choice after the logitech). the weight of the batteries makes it feel a little odd at first, but after you get immersed in a game you don't notice. now my s controller feels odd without the extra weight. seems to have excellent range and reception, no problems when people walk in front of me or i'm not right in front of the console. i gotta be able to see the tv, so i haven't tried from another room. the best recomendation i can give is that i'll be buying 2 or 3 more of them. soulja221 Sep 16, 2003, 12:21 PM are there any wireless controllers that are built like the original controller? SharpSh00ter Sep 16, 2003, 03:46 PM is there a way to make a wireles controler from an original, that would be nice, <------- hears people starting to right some type of tutorial on this hehe, hope this happens. in my best jugement, this is posible if u know what u are doing, it's simular to the dvd dongle witch u can use on evox dash so, u have to find out how to send info from the controler to a dongle via infrared just like the dvd dongle. would be realy complicated to do but realy nice in the end. acc1 Sep 16, 2003, 04:05 PM wireless from a wired controller. that would be pretty sweet, but i bet it would be ugly as hell, unless it wasn't really attached to the controller. you could shorten the cable and plug it into an external box that had the mod & batteries in it. or why couldn't you just buy a wireless gamepad and move the contents into the bigger gamepad. bet that would be a real mess. a wireless adapter for gamepads. that would come in really handy for a steering wheel. |
