What dashboard do you use and why?

I mainly use evox but am switching to MXM. Evox is a dry and boring, with MXM i can get news feeds and see preview videos of the games im thinking about playing as i scroll thru the list of them...

mxm is the greatest!!!! avalaunch is coming along very nicely as well. i'm stuck on which on i like better. mxm or ava. mxm is flashy as they come but ava seems to offer more utilities and whistles such as irc and automatic update. anything's better than evox :p

I use evox and love it a lot.

Evox is nice, but it seems that MXM is more fluid... flows together better then Evox... They have the same options in each, but MXM almost seems to be more user-friendly. Install both of them and try it for yourself.

where can you get mxm??

I've never really botherd looking into anything else other then evox, but my mate uses xbmp as a dashboard and it looks a lot better.

Everybody's going to have a different opinion on this... Personally, I'd rather play games then concern myself over which dashboard is more fluid, flashy, or has newsfeeds. :p

thats true Q, but alot of people use their xboxs for more stuff than playing games...Im starting to install linux on mine so i can surf the net and use mor linux applications

I dont have any dash installed, if I wanna do anything other than play games i've got a perfectly good pc to do stuff on.

evox gets the job done. plus i can't find the others :D

i would like evox 10x more if it didn't load it's own buggy *** IGR in memory. even with it turned off. Take enter the matrix for example. all the problems people have with that game. turn off all 3 igrs and even disable the x2 igr before the game will run right. if you're using avalaunch or mxm as your dash, it works fine and you can still igr back to the dash :tup:

evox is the most stable so far.
not a great looker though. :(

Yeah, god forbid anyone just use a real computer for all their websurfing and linux applications...:laugh:

I use evox, and i am not changing it, I will probably screw the damn thing up.

um useing the original xboxdash but is hackd so i can run all my apps an games an even dashboards with the cool interface of the xbox dash.

Lets say that you're playing one of your favorite games for the 100th time...you decide to play with a cheat code...you save the level, use the igr, and boot up linux. You then surf the net, get the code you want and start back into your game. Or you feel like listening to internet radio without paying $700 for a new media center reciever...lots of reasons to use the xbox at its full potential.

Just out of curiosity- I have a LPC mod so don't think i can have multiple bios's so could i set avalaunch or mxm from evox (i'm not too keen on replacing evox completely)

As i understand it other than the slightly improved GUI (which don't reall care about), avalaunch can cope with longer filenames right?

Also has the defrag tool been implemented in the latest avalaunch?

nimbles u need X-Select boots before your dash and lets u boot multiple dashes by hold down an assigned button on the controller also has a default dash if u hit nothing

nimbles, you can do so much, which mod do you have installed? I'll lead you down the right path once I find that out
