What is the ideal Output number to be entered in the MB window. I'm using 4400 which gives a 4.29GB file..Wonder if i can do any better without risking an oversized folder at the end.

Rene & Co @ DVD2one seem to feel that 4444mb is the ideal safe setting.

I've never had a film that's too big myself with this setting either so I'd go with their thoughts on that too. :)

It does depend a bit on the discs that you are using though. Some cheap brands don't do too well once you get near the full capacity of the disc. With my 4x Riteks and the new DVD Shrink I have done several burns with all but 23MB filled up on the disc and never had a problem.

I use 4472MB and yet to have a problem, using 4x Whitetop Unbranded Ritek.

well on dvd shrink and fws ritek's i've managed 4487mb- that leaves 1and a bit megs left on the disc according to recordnow max

i used 4485 on dvd2one but i've stopped using that now in favour of dvd shrink 3 beta 5.

IC7/IC8 i dunno what to use cos it always outputs a different file size even on the same job!!
