just bought the plextor 708a and ive been using prassi primo with my ao3 pioneer when i changed drives and open prassi primo it says no compatable drives found is it ok to use this software now? prassi primo sees my drive...I like primo because it works with my playstation 2 used several others clone dvd dvd2one you name it want work on my playstation2..( dvd movies)

No it isn't okay to use Prassi anymore. Prassi doesn't work well with newer DVD Burners (even with the latest px update). If you like Prassi you should get Recordnow Max as they are based off the same software but Recordnow Max is up to date for newer burners. A number of PS2 owners use and trust Recordnow Max for making PS2 backups if that gives you any piece of mind. BTW is this Plextor the new dual format drive? If so let us know how you like it once you get it sorted out and if you can confirm that this drive is made by Plextor or if it is a relabeled NEC. Thanks.
